The Arts: Poetry
Four Seasons
Full of promise, looking forward to all the things to come
Springing up from the darkness of Winter
Spring is a Lady wearing flowers in Her hair
Painting Herself with color, anointing Herself with fragrance
Merrily Courting New Beginnings
Doing all that you hoped for each Spring
Fireworks, bare feet, no shirt, freedom from sleeves and coats
Like the freedom we must find in leaving our bodies behind
Ah, I'm free from all that now
All
falls back to the Earth
Fruition, rewards for your hard work and sacrifice
Colorful, but gentler colors than any other time of year
Relaxing before the big Sleep
Even
sounds like the word "White"
Each Snowflake, unique from any other
Renewing old friendships with a cozy wool coat
Like putting on a body again after the Long Sleep
Ah, I missed it all so much
