Necessity is Need
Two sticks being rubbed together to create fire.
The 'Need Fire' was the fire in the centre of the village which all the tribe lit their fires from. It was a gathering place for those who needed warmth, such as travellers, the disposessed and the poor who would wait there to receive alms. This rune therefore represents the need for patience, endurance and caution. In a negative context it can indicate delay, constraint and oppression, as well as ill-health. Regardless of whether they are positive or negative conotations this rune encourages growth through the development of character because of them.
