A horse is for travelling between worlds

From an Odinic view point this Rune is associated with Odins Horse, Sleipnir, with which he travelled between the nine worlds of Yggdrasill. Far older than this is its associations with the Goddess of the Horse, Nerthus who later became Freya (a goddess of trance) in Northern European Mythology and Epona amongst the Gauls. The common factor to all of these associations is travel of a spiritual nature. This Rune indicates a change for the better brought about by a change of attitude. This can be a planned change, which may also involve some physical travel which results in the required goal being acheived.
